Waiting On Wednesday: Empire of Storms - Sarah J Maas

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking The Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This week I am highlighting an upcoming release by one of my very favourite YA Fantasy authors. I have already put this book on pre-order from Kobo and I am eagerly awaiting the 6th of September!!! The only thing not to like is the major book hangover I always seem to get from a S.J. Maas release.

Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass #5)
by

Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass, #5)

From Goodreads:
The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those don't.
As the kingdoms of Erilea fracture around her, enemies must become allies if Aelin is to keep those she loves from falling to the dark forces poised to claim her world. With war looming on all horizons, the only chance for salvation lies in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.

Aelin's journey from assassin to queen has entranced millions across the globe, and this fifth installment will leave fans breathless. Will Aelin succeed in keeping her world from splintering, or will it all come crashing down?

    1. Thanks for the comment. Honestly love SJ Maas and was so sad when I finished ACoMaF which also took me a while to get over! I wish we could somehow get more than one book a year in each series from her!!!
      Happy Wednesday!

    1. Definitely give it a try! Throne of Glass was actually my first SJ Maas read, but I didn't love it immediately. After I finished The Assassin's Blade I had a new perspective of this world and her characters and a whole new appreciation for her writing!

    1. Book four was the best for me - but then I had to wait an entire year for book 5 which hasn't been so nice. Look forward to hearing what you think of it when you do read it.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week.
